I am going to try blogging again, and I want to Welcome you if you happen to have stumbled onto this blog site. I have had several blog names, but inside I just didn't know what I wanted to say, or sew, and the blog title should say what it's about. We moved to an area without internet for a year and had to drive 10 minutes to get it, and that was one good reason, I missed my grandchildren and made several trips to Texas, I love my chickens, and I wanted to sew other than quilts with my fabric.
We have moved again, we now have wifi and I thought of a rather interesting blog title so here goes.
Moving is hard enough, but when you are in your 60's it's especially hard. The knees, the back, the everything say, I don't want to do this. We moved in September and my sewing room had become a storage room.
Here is one picture, and another. I had to take things out of the room, put them in the hall, my bedroom, the bathroom, anywhere I could. My husband was gone hunting for a week, whew, so I could do it when I wanted to and sleep and eat when I wanted.
Here is what the living room looked like, amazing isn't it? It looks like someone is rearranging the furniture store!
My room is somewhat in order with this picture. I had to wait until my hubby got home to put the top on my cutting table. It was too heavy for me to do it alone.
I still have way too much furniture in there!
And finally, I sewed some curtains for my kitchen. It is an old house with a very "cabiny" feel to it. I had some toile. My house is not French, but it was what I have. I have a "tan" fabric but the kitchen already has tan cabinets. I know I can find other fabric in my stash, something with color. I will look.

I am amazed that both panels match. I didn't plan it that way.
